Bollywood Stars Celebrate Shah Rukh Khan’s First National Award With Heartfelt Wishes

Having worked for over three decades in the film industry, Shah Rukh Khan has been honoured with his first National Film Award. The actor has been recognized as Best Actor at the 71st National Film Awards for his performance in Jawan.

Shah Rukh took to social media after the announcement, posting a video where he expressed his humility and gratitude to have been given the award. He added a caption saying, “Thank you for honouring me with the National Award. Thanks to the jury, the I&B ministry. Iss samman ke liye Bharat Sarkar ka dhanyawaad. Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today….” 

The announcement was met with praise and celebrations among fans and also led to congratulatory messages from various peers of the industry. Shah Rukh’s friends and colleagues, including Kajol and Farah Khan, were quick to express their happiness on social media. 

Kajol posted a Jawan poster on her Instagram story and mentioned, “Congratulations on your big win @iamsrk!” 

Farah Khan, who has directed Shah Rukh in many films, also posted a congratulatory note saying, “Congratulations, my dearest @iamsrk on winning the national award!! This time, the shiddat se koshish really came through.” 

AR Rahman who was the music director in the Shah Rukh starrer, Dil Se, reacted to the news on X, commenting, “Legend, congratulations.”

Anil Kapoor took to social media too and praised Shah Rukh’s performance in Jawan and wrote, “Well deserved! A performance like Jawan was bound to make history. Your first National Award – and what a way to get it.” 

Ananya Panday celebrated the win on Instagram with the caption, “KING KHAN, best to ever do it!” while Sanya Malhotra who worked with Shah Rukh in Jawan, also reacted to the win, writing, “Good to go, chief.” 

Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and other stars liked Shah Rukh’s post after winning the award. 

Jawan, directed by Atlee, has Shah Rukh Khan in a double role where he plays both a father and a son. The film also stars Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, and Sangeeta Bhattacharya.
