Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu Releases on OTT
The big-budget period drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is set to release on OTT shortly after its theatrical release. Directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna, the film also features Bobby Deol and Nidhhi Agerwal. Although it was released in theatres on July 24th with huge expectations, the film ultimately got a mixed response from both viewers and critics.
It is a common practice in Telugu cinema that films with a shorter theatrical run are quickly made available on digital platforms. In the same way, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is poised to begin streaming online within a month of its theatrical release.
The makers officially announced on the film’s X account that the historical epic will be available on Prime Video starting today, August 20th. The post read, “A tale of rebellion, rage and righteousness. The storm that started in theatres now takes over your screens.” The movie was released at midnight, and the announcement was made only a few hours before it became available on OTT platforms.

Although fans were pleased with the quick release, some felt that it was somewhat rushed, considering the film’s extensive scope. One fan mentioned that the movie might have benefited from a longer theatrical run to maintain its magic. On the other hand, others expressed their hope that the digital version would address the subpar visual effects and editing issues that received considerable criticism during its theatrical release.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu generated a huge buzz around the time of its release, particularly as it marked Pawan Kalyan’s first film after assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. In contrast to his usual practice of avoiding film promotions, the actor actively participated in promotional events throughout the country. Despite the anticipation, the film disappointed many due to its weak narrative and underwhelming visual effects.

The movie narrates the story of Veera Mallu, an outlaw played by Pawan Kalyan, who goes on a daring mission to steal the legendary Kohinoor diamond from Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, played by Bobby Deol. Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead in this action-packed film.
