Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De sequel gets a release date. Check poster
The sequel to the romantic comedy film, ‘De De Pyaar De’, starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, now has a release date. The makers on Saturday offered a glimpse into what to expect from the next instalment.
In the motion poster, Rakul’s family can be seen throwing Ajay’s character out of a car. This hinted at more comic chaos in the new film.
Ajay wrote in the caption, “Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! Kya Ashish ko milega Ayesha ke parents ka approval? (The sequel of love is crucial. Will Ashish get Ayesha’s parents’ approval?) (sic).”
The actor further shared that the sequel will release in theatres on November 14. Viewers familiar with the original film, which was released in 2019, have been waiting for news on the follow-up. The announcement thus met with enthusiasm across platforms on Saturday.
Joining Ajay and Rakul in the new film are R Madhavan, Meezaan Jafri, Gautami Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Jaaved Jaaferi, who will take on pivotal roles. The sequel is directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg.
The first ‘De De Pyaar De’ film focused on Ashish (Ajay’s character), a 50-year-old businessman from London. He fell in love with Ayesha, a 26-year-old spirited woman. The film followed the complications faced by the couple as Ashish introduced Ayesha to his family and ex-wife in India.
In the sequel, the story will focus on Ashish’s attempt to win the approval of Ayesha’s family. The motion poster suggests that the clash between love and family will remain central to the narrative.
