Who Is Aneet Padda? The Breakout Star of Saiyaara Everyone Is Talking About

Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda is receiving rave reviews and love both from critics and the audience. The film, which was released on July 18, is already inching towards the Rs 100 crore club. It has turned into one of the biggest success stories of this year. With this, the focus has also shifted to the stars of the film, Ahaan and Aneet. While this marks the former’s debut and first venture into showbiz, Aneet has been working for a couple of years.
The 22-year-old actress plays Vaani, a gifted writer, who is diagnosed with an illness that changes the course of the narrative.

Who is Aneet Padda?

Aneet first played a brief role in Kajol’s film Salaam Venky in 2022. She had a breakthrough last year with Amazon Prime Video’s Big Girls Don’t Cry. However, she became a household name with Saiyaara. She was born on October 14, 2002, in Amritsar, Punjab. With no one in her family belonging to the film industry, she started her career modelling in advertisements. Along with it, she completed her bachelor’s degree from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

Aneet is also a trained singer, and she released her debut track, Masoom, in 2024. One of her Instagram posts also shows her strumming a guitar and singing during her birthday celebration. Her Instagram bio reads, “Authentically pretending,” with more than 900k followers so far.

Filmfare’s Review of Saiyaara

Filmfare gave Saiyaara a rating of 3.5 out of 5 and read, “Aneet Padda, with a far more layered role, is a revelation. Portraying a character with a serious illness isn’t easy, especially when that character is also meant to carry the emotional weight of the film. But she does it with remarkable poise. Whether it’s her outbursts of rage or her haunting confusion when she forgets a loved one, she makes you ache for Vaani. Together, Ahaan and Aneet share a sparkling, lived-in chemistry that feels tender, believable and emotionally deep.”
