Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and More Shower Love on Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara

Saiyaara has taken the box office by storm with staggering opening day numbers followed by consistent earnings through the weekend. Directed by Mohit Suri and starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara has emerged as a delightful surprise this year. The film is also receiving constant appreciation from various members of the film industry.

Karan Johar was visibly impressed by the two debutants. He said, “I don’t remember the last time I felt like this after watching a film…Tears flowing and yet the feeling of immense joy…Joy for the fact that a love story has conquered the silver screen and made the nation fall in love. What a debut @ahaanpandayy!!! You broke my heart and yet energised me as a filmmaker…your eyes speak volumes, and I can’t wait to see your journey ahead…. You are spectacular!!!! Welcome to the movies!!! @aneetpadda_ you gorgeous girl…how lovely and amazing are you!!! Your silences spoke volumes, and your vulnerability and strength moved me to tears…Both Ahaan and you were beyond magical.”

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu appreciated Saiyaara by calling it “a beautifully made film with honest storytelling.” He praised the 2 newcomers and said, “Big love to Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for living their roles so effortlessly. This one deserves all the love coming its way.”

Alia Bhatt also wrote a wholesome note for the Saiyaara team and was all praise for the debutants. “I don’t remember the last time I looked at two actors with such awe. With stars in my eyes… watching the stars in yours. You both shine with such individuality, such honesty — I could watch you again, and again, and again. (And let’s be honest… I probably will.) To the captain of this very wonderful ship Mohit Suri — what a film. What feeling. What music!!!!!!!! You made me feel things that only the movies can make you feel. Saiyaara is full of heart, full of soul, full of something that just stays with you… in the best way.”

Ahaan’s cousin Ananya Panday was a proud sister as she added a picture with Ahaan and wrote, “A star is born. My Saiyaara – @ahaanpandayy.”

Arjun Kapoor wrote a sweet and emotional note on his Instagram stories saying that the film made him feel alive and vulnerable. He said, “Ahaan, your wait has been worth it. Felt so raw, so visceral. Terrific debut brother…Aneet I’m a fan for life… You had me in awe while you spoke, your eyes, your vulnerability, your absolute honesty and the way you looked at him made us love him & you more.”

Ranveer Singh added his thoughts on his story, “Saiyaars is heartfelt and the very best of Mohit Suri. Ahaan and Aneet, you were special. A scintillating debut! God bless you and welcome to the movies.”

Anil Kapoor praised Mohit Suri, saying, “There is a rare kind of honesty in your storytelling – one that lingers, moves and stays with you long after the credits roll. Working with you on Malang, I’ve seen up close the heart you bring to every frame.”
