Triptii Dimri Celebrates 5 Years of Bulbbul With a Special Post
Bulbbul was written and directed by Anvita Dutt and backed by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma under their banner Clean Slate Filmz. Set in 1880s Bengal, the period horror drama followed the story of a young girl navigating a patriarchal world and eventually choosing her own path to justice. Alongside Triptii, the film featured a talented cast including Avinash Tiwary, Paoli Dam, Rahul Bose, and Parambrata Chattopadhyay.
The film was beautifully crafted with a strong technical team. Amit Trivedi gave it a hauntingly melodic soundtrack, Siddharth Diwan created stunning visuals as the cinematographer, and Rameshwar S Bhagat stitched it all together in the edit room. Bulbbul dropped on Netflix on June 24, 2020, and over time, it has become one of those films that still lingers with viewers long after it ends.
Triptii has quite an exciting lineup ahead. She will soon be seen in Dhadak 2 opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, which is being directed by Shazia Iqbal. She is also stepping into the lead role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit opposite Prabhas, taking over from Deepika Padukone. Apart from that, she is teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for Arjun Ustara, with Madhuri Dixit for Ma Behan, and will be reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal Park. There is also a yet to be titled project with KGF star Yash in the works.
