Aamir Khan Hosts Sitaare Zameen Par’s Screening at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Aamir Khan recently hosted a special screening of Sitaare Zameen Par for President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The official X account of the President shared about the screening. The caption stated, “Acclaimed filmmaker and actor Shri Aamir Khan called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.” The tweet was posted with a click of the actor with Murmu.

Many social media users lauded Khan for the gesture. Many special screenings of the movie were held in and around the city. In one of the screenings, Aamir also invited his industry friends, including Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The Khans heartily interacted with the other cast members of the movie. Sitaare Zameen Par has ten rising stars, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar. It is directed by RS Prasanna.

Filmfare reviewed the movie and gave it four stars out of five. Our reviewed wrote, “Sitaare Zameen Par is not just about basketball or redemption, it’s a subtle but stirring reminder that children and adults with special needs don’t require our sympathy, but our respect, understanding, and above all, our love. More than anything else, it asks us to broaden our definition of what it means to be “normal” and to embrace difference with an open heart.”

During an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Aamir also spoke about his experience working with specially-abled kids on the sets of Sitaare Zameen Par. He said, “I’ve been working with neurotypical people for the last 30–35 years, and honestly, there was no difference in this experience. It’s not like they took more time or anything. In fact, they brought an incredibly positive energy to the set.”
