Prabhas Is a Fantastic Conversationalist: Malavika Mohanan
Ever since the teaser of The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, has released, Malavika Mohanan’s glimpse in it has been grabbing attention. The teaser shows a quirky, and romantic side of the actress. The Raja Saab also marks the debut of Malavika in Tollywood, and she is all excited for the horror comedy.
“Meeting Prabhas on The Raja Saab sets was a special”
In an #AskMalavika session with fans on Wednesday night on X, Malavika Mohanan spoke about various things from hobbies to working on various films. One fan asked to describe her favourite moments on the sets of The Raja Saab. The actress was quick to narrate how she felt on the first day of shooting. “I would say one of the special moments for me was the first time I met Prabhas sir on the sets of our film,” posted Malavika. She added, “I was shooting for another film & had travelled to Hyderabad without getting any sleep & was super drained and tired but the moment I saw Prabhas sir I was wide awake! He was charismatic, warm, welcoming & might I add a fantastic conversationalist.”
Malavika stated that her Telugu film debut is a very special one, and that her role was fabulously written by director Maruthi. She expressed her gratitude to the filmmakers for making her part of The Raja Saab.
Balancing different kinds of roles
One of her fans asked Malavika whether she would prefer taking on glamorous roles in masala films or artistic roles like the one in Thangalaan. Malavika pointed out that she likes to strike a fine balance between the two. She loved doing Thangalaan which challenged her immensely as an artiste, but post that the actress wanted to dive into a different space, dress up pretty, look glam and do fun songs, all of which she is getting to do in The Raja Saab. She said, “Simultaneously, I’m working on Sardar 2 which has an entirely different vibe with lots of action and a more serious role. So I would say a healthy balance is something that really excites me and keeps things from getting monotonous.”
“Working with Mohanlal is surreal”
While Malavika has just wrapped up shooting for Sardar 2, starring Karthi, she will announce her new projects in Tamil soon. The actress also described working with superstar Mohanlal for Hridayapoorvam as surreal. She said, “He is so sweet to work with I fondly call him ‘pookie’ lal ..hehe”
