Akshay, Arshad’s Jolly LLB 3 gets U/A rating – alcohol brand, abusive dialogues cut

Actors Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are all set for the release of their upcoming courtroom comedy drama ‘Jolly LLB 3’. The film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with few modifications of dialogues and visuals.

The changes suggested by the CBFC included an old disclaimer which was replaced with a new one, an alcohol brand name was blurred, including a fictional place and year from the movie’s beginning, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The word ‘f*****’ was removed from the film, wherever it appeared, the report stated.

CBFC edits and modifications

A shot of police officers assaulting an old male was toned down a bit and a dialogue was changed to ‘Emergency Clause’. A logo in the same sequence was modified, another logo on a file carried was blurred. In the second part of the movie, the dialogue was altered to ‘Janki Amma ka gaon, sirf ek cheque muh pe fek ke mara‘ (Janki Amma’s village, threw checque on their face).

Run-time and CBFC rating

After these instructions are implemented, the film will release on the scheduled date. ‘Jolly LLB 3’ has a total runtime of 2 hours 37 minutes and 16 seconds – 157.16 minutes. The CBFC gave the film a U/A 16+ rating along with a series of small changes and suggestions that won’t have a significant effect on the story.

The movie also features actors Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas and Gajraj Rao in key roles. Akshay and Arshad will face-off against each other as rival lawyers named ‘Jolly’.

The courtroom dramedy is written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and co-produced by Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare. The film has collected over Rs 62 lakh in pre-sales, as reported by Sacnilk.

‘Jolly LLB 3’ is scheduled to release on September 19, 2025.
