Abhishek Bachchan’s Kaalidhar Laapata Poster Dropped With Heartfelt Note

Abhishek Bachchan has finally revealed the first look of his upcoming film Kaalidhar Laapata. The film, which premieres on ZEE5 on July 4, marks a deeply emotional and meaningful departure from his recent comic role in Housefull 5. The actor took to Instagram to unveil the poster and confirmed the release date with a poetic caption that has fans buzzing.

Sharing the poster, Abhishek wrote, “Charchao par ab full stop! Sometimes, getting lost isn’t a detour, it’s where the real story begins. Full of dreams, twists, and the people who make it worth it. #KaalidharLaapata premieres 4th July, only on #ZEE5.”

The poster shows Abhishek and a young boy sitting calmly on a tree branch, hinting at a bond-driven, journey-style story. For those wondering, Kaalidhar Laapata is the official Hindi remake of the Tamil film KD (Karuppu Durai), which won hearts with its story of a grumpy old man and a runaway boy who change each other’s lives.

Directed by Madhumita Sundararaman, who also directed the original Tamil version, the Hindi remake is expected to maintain the charm, depth, and gentle humour that made KD so special. Reportedly, parts of the film have been shot in Bhopal to give it an earthy, rural feel.
The film’s teaser poster follows a cryptic Instagram note posted by Abhishek earlier this week, where he wrote, “Main ek baar lapaata hona chahta hoon, bheed mein khud ko phir se paana chahta hoon. Jo kuch bhi tha sab de diya apno ke liye, ab zara sa waqt bas apne liye chahta hoon.” (Translation: I want to be lost once, to find myself again in the crowd. Whatever I had, I gave to others. Now, I just want a little time for myself.)

The emotional message now seems to connect with the theme of Kaalidhar Laapata, where “getting lost” is perhaps the beginning of healing, freedom, and self-discovery. Meanwhile, Abhishek is enjoying the box-office success of Housefull 5, the ensemble comedy with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. With Kaalidhar Laapata, fans are excited to see a more introspective and heartfelt side of the actor.
