Metro…In Dino to Release on OTT on THIS Date. Details Inside

Metro…In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, released in theatres last month on July 4th. Although it received largely positive reviews, the film’s box office performance was not as successful as expected. Almost a month and a half after its theatrical release, Metro…In Dino is slated to become available for streaming on Netflix, starting August 29th. The streaming platform made the announcement of the film’s OTT release on its official Instagram account. The announcement was accompanied by the caption, “Agla station: Pyaar, heartbreaks aur thodi si ummeed. Watch Metro… In Dino, out 29 August, on Netflix!”

Metro…In Dino had a solo release on the big screens. The film was released between Kajol’s Maa and Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara. Despite the high expectations, franchise appeal, and extensive promotions, the film did not perform as well as expected at the box office.

The film’s opening was a modest ₹ 3.5 Cr, yet it experienced considerable growth in the following days. The earnings of Metro…In Dino consistently exceeded ₹1 crore until the third Monday, which coincided with the release of Saiyaara. Throughout its four-week theatrical run, Metro…In Dino earned a total of ₹ 52.1 Cr.

This musical sequel had an ensemble cast, including Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Anupam Kher, who all brought immense depth to their characters.

This film weaved together four different yet interconnected stories of modern romance. The plot showed the challenges and triumphs of relationships in today’s fast-paced world, from budding young love to the complexities of long-term relationships.

Viewers praised Anurag Basu’s signature directorial style and the film’s emotionally rich storytelling. Beyond the performances and story, the film’s music by the maestro Pritam was a major highlight. The soundtrack became an instant chartbuster, with every song resonating with listeners and adding a layer to the on-screen emotions.
