Alia Bhatt praises Songs Of Paradise, calls Saba Azad’s performance beautiful in first review
Recently, Alia Bhatt watched her mother, Soni Razdan’s upcoming film, Songs Of Paradise. On Thursday, Alia shared a picture on instagram, capturing a selfie with her mother and her co-star, Saba Azad. Along with the image, Alia Bhatt wrote a lengthy note, expressing her admiration for Songs Of Paradise. She described the film as heartfelt and further mentioned that Saba Azad delivered a beautiful portrayal of her role.
Alia wrote, “Songs of Paradise is a heartfelt journey of music, hardship and dreams. What a wonderful performance by @sabazad, you blended innocence with strength so beautifully in this tale of freedom. And my mama, @Sonirazdan, watching you on screen is my greatest delight. I think I am your biggest fan, and to me you could never, ever have a single fault.”

She also tagged the director of the film in the story, adding, “@danishrenzu this is such an authentic tale of talent and beauty; set in a time when we had no access to information the way we do today. Big congratulations to the entire cast for creating this magic on screen…Loved this film.”
Songs of Paradise serves as a tribute to Kashmir’s inspiring music and journey, enhanced by Abhay Sopori’s soulful composition and Masrat Un Nissa’s vocals, which breathe life into the rich musical heritage and the captivating setting of the valley.
Presented by Excel Entertainment and produced by Apple Tree Pictures Production and Renzu Films Production, Songs of Paradise features a talented cast, including Saba Azad, Soni Razdan, Zain Khan Durrani, Sheeba Chaddha, Taaruk Raina, Shishir Sharma, and Lillete Dubey.
Soni Razdan has also shared her experience of being involved in the film, saying, “Songs of Paradise is a story that moved me the moment I read the script, and stepping into her character was a profound experience, embodying decades of resilience, strength, and cultural identity.” She then added, “It’s a powerful narrative that honours Kashmir’s musical legacy and captures the essence of her remarkable journey.”
Songs Of Paradise is slated for release on Prime Video on Friday, August 29.
