Matthew Perry Overdose Case: Jasveen Sangha Set to Plead Guilty in Court
Jasveen Sangha, known as the Ketamine Queen, has agreed to plead guilty to charges related to the death of actor Matthew Perry. The 42-year-old, who holds both American and British citizenship, will plead guilty to five charges, including one for distributing ketamine that led to his death. Initially, she faced nine criminal counts. After a raid on her home, which prosecutors described as a “drug-selling emporium”, authorities discovered numerous vials of the drug. Matthew Perry passed away in October 2023 from the acute effects of ketamine. His body was found in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home.
Jasveen Sangha is one of five individuals who have been charged in connection with Matthew Perry’s death and have agreed to plead guilty. The individuals involved include Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez, both physicians who were involved in the sale of ketamine, Kenneth Iwamasa, who served as Perry’s live-in assistant and assisted in the purchase and administration of ketamine to Matthew, and Eric Fleming, who supplied ketamine obtained from Sangha to Perry.

All five individuals have agreed to plead guilty to the charges related to this case. Sangha’s criminal trial, which had been postponed on multiple occasions, was scheduled to commence next month. She is expected to appear in federal court in the coming weeks to formally enter her guilty plea, as per the agreement reached with federal authorities. Her legal representative, Mark Geragos, conveyed in a statement to the BBC that “she’s taking responsibility for her actions.”
According to the Justice Department, Sangha is expected to plead guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distributing ketamine, and one count of distributing ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury and may face a maximum sentence of 65 years in federal prison.
