Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sister Shares Heartfelt Raksha Bandhan Note for Him

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Shweta Singh Kirti posted an emotional tribute remembering her late brother, actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She shared an edited video that mixed family clips, Sushant’s childhood, growing up years, and moments with relatives and wrote a long, tender note about how much she misses him.

In the post, Shweta wrote that sometimes it feels as if Sushant is still near, saying “just beyond the veil, watching silently.” But the comfort is quickly replaced by a sharp ache. She asked aloud if she will ever see him again and described the pain of loss as intimate and deep. Shweta called that grief “too sacred to be spoken aloud” and said it grows each day, reminding her how small and fragile life can be.

She also spoke about hope and reunion. Shweta wrote she believes they will meet again “on the other side,” where souls recognise one another by love rather than names. She ended the note by saying she will keep tying a Rakhi for him in her heart and will keep praying for his peace. She signed off the note writing, “With all my love, Gudia Di,” a personal and loving farewell.

Sushant Singh Rajput died in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. His postmortem report stated the cause of death as asphyxia, and investigations at the time concluded that he died by suicide. A legal case of alleged abetment to suicide was filed by his parents against his then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty; Rhea was later granted bail in related matters. Earlier this year, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) issued a report that cleared Rhea Chakraborty in the death case.

Shweta’s Raksha Bandhan message drew sympathy from fans and followers who left kind words and prayers under her post. For many, the note was a quiet reminder of the private, lasting bond between siblings and the way memory and grief continue long after a public life ends.
