Watch: Vijay Deverakonda’s Saamrajya Teaser Is Too Good to Miss

The teaser for the upcoming action film, Saamrajya, the Hindi adaptation of Kingdom, showing Vijay Deverakonda as a courageous police officer and directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, released today. 

Narrated by Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, the 50-second teaser, which was released ahead of the film’s July 31 release, shows Vijay Deverakonda as a police officer with a history of violence, who takes control of a region affected by deception and danger. 

The teaser has been called by fans as “one of the most hard-hitting of the year,” with social media filled with reactions that praise its polished editing, immersive sound design, and the thrilling effect it creates. 

Director Gowtham Tinnanuri described the film, saying, “Saamrajya is about a man who never wanted the throne but is forced to rise because the world around him collapses. His scars tell the story of a world’s downfall and possibly its rebirth.” 

Kingdom is a joint production by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya, under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting the film. Also, the Hindi release is presented by Aditya Bhatia from Adwise Movies.

Anirudh Ravichander has composed the background score for the film. Ranbir Kapoor lent his voice for the Hindi version of Kingdom, while Jr. NTR lent his voice to the Telugu version. Suriya gave a voiceover to the Tamil version of the film.

Initially, Kingdom was set to be released in theatres on May 30. However, the release was eventually postponed due to Operation Sindoor, which was launched by the Indian armed forces on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the loss of at least 26 lives. Now, the film will release on July 31, with fans excited to witness Vijay Devarakonda’s intense version.
