The excitement ramps up further as the first official glimpse titled Ramayana: The Introduction is set to drop on July 3, unveiling the film’s emblematic logo across nine major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. A co-production between Prime Focus Studios, Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, and DNEG- home to eight Academy Awards- Ramayana is confirmed to arrive in two parts, with Part 1 releasing on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 following in Diwali 2027. Industry sources confirm filming for Part 1 has wrapped, with Part 2 already underway.

This multi-starrer is set to feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, hinting at a high-voltage cast befitting the scale of the saga.

With cutting-edge VFX, real-time AI lip-sync, and dual-language performances, the production aims to transcend cultural and linguistic boundaries-ensuring every frame feels authentically epic, no matter where it’s watched.

Speaking at the WAVES 2025 Summit, Namit Malhotra described the film’s mission. He said, “Ramayana is a story meant for the world,” and explained how AI-driven lip-sync will allow the film to be released in multiple languages without losing its emotional core.

Alongside this tech-driven vision, legendary composer duo A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer are reportedly scoring the music, while DNEG’s VFX team and Hollywood stunt director Guy Norris promise a blockbuster spectacle.

With its first look scheduled for July 3 and a release planned for Diwali 2026, the countdown for Ramayana has officially begun. What’s clear is that this isn’t just a remake of a myth, it’s a visually stunning reinvention designed for global audiences and cinematic history books.
