The original film, which starred Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda, was re-released in theatres this March. It created a stir of nostalgia among fans. Now, the makers are planning to bring the cult favourite love story back into the spotlight. Our source says this sequel promises a fresh take on love and choices. Interestingly, the movie will focus on a young cast, who are young and talented. They’ll be at the heart of the story.

The cast may include Abhay Verma, known for his charm and versatility. The actor had a massive success with the 2024 horror-comedy, Munjya. He also stars in Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan’s King. Other projects include Safed Sagar, JC and Laikey Laikaa.

Nitanshi Goel, on the other hand, made a stunning debut with Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. She starred alongside Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastava in leading roles. The actress also made her Cannes debut recently. She paid a fitting tribute to Bollywood’s finest actresses, including Rekha, Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Nargis, Sridevi and more.
