Ammy Virk Dismisses Rumours of Replacing Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2
Ammy Virk has recently opened up about rumours suggesting that he has replaced Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2. For those unaware, Diljit is currently embroiled in a row for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. This comes as India and Pakistan go through tensions due to Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.

A rumour was doing rounds on social media, where fans were convinced that Diljit Dosanjh was replaced by Ammy Virk in Border 2. However, Ammy’s team has dismissed all the speculations. They said, “These are just speculations. We haven’t got any call from anyone as of now.” A report from Times of India had also claimed that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has urged the makers of Border 2 to drop Diljit from the film. The letter was addressed to Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta and Anurag Singh. It read, “The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), representing the core workforce of the Indian film and television industry, is deeply disappointed and concerned by the casting of actor-singer Mr. Diljit Dosanjh in your upcoming film Border 2 produced under the banner of JP Films in collaboration with T-Series and directed by Mr. Anurag Singh. By choosing to collaborate with an artist who has so brazenly ignored the ongoing tensions and national sentiment, your production has directly undermined the stand taken by the Indian film industry in solidarity with the nation.”
Meanwhile, Hindustan Times quoted a source saying, “There is no plan to replace or remove Diljit from Border 2. The announcement about his casting was made almost nine months back, before any of the unfortunate situations had happened. Almost 40-50 per cent of the film’s shooting has already been done, so making any change at this point is not possible.”
