Shah Rukh Khan on his kids helping him become a better human being
The way I see this world, emotions and relationships is different. I get in touch with the real world all thanks to my children. My son says when I’m angry I’m like a monster. He says some strange sound emerges from me which doesn’t suit my build! He says I overdo it. Imagine a 13-yr-old saying that to me. Suhana says if I don’t like someone I should go and say it. Gauri lets me be, she never told me anything, but my kids are helping me to get in touch with the real world.
Fardeen Khan on long-distance parenting
Yes, it is tough. Not being a part of their everyday life is difficult. It’s tough. You’ve got holidays and phones. Thank God for Facetime and Zoom. Fortunately, I have a very strong bond with my children. That’s special.
Amitabh Bachchan on Shweta Bachchan’s screen debut with Sholay
My first child, my daughter Shweta (Nanda), acted in it (Sholay) too. Jaya (played Radha) was pregnant with her in the scene when Jai (Amitabh) goes to return the keys to her after Veeru (Dharmendra) and he have been caught trying to steal from Thakur’s (Sanjeev Kumar) locker. That’s a memory.
Imran Khan on his precious bond with daughter Imara
My daughter and I share a deeply close and open relationship, something I’ve been intentional about nurturing. I’ve wanted her to feel secure; to know I’m always there for her, and that she can speak to me without fear of judgement. We’ve grown together. She’s shared emotional parts of herself with me, and at times I’ve been overwhelmed by the depth of that trust. It’s truly priceless.
Neil Nitin Mukesh on his daughter Nurvi’s innocence
She has seen quite a few of my films. She is really excited about Hai Junoon! because it’s all about song, dance and something that she loves. She has seen New York, she has seen Golmaal Again. But she doesn’t like it when I get beaten up. One day she came crying to me after seeing me on YouTube. She was scrolling through and must have seen something. I realised that she saw a song of mine called Tu Meri Aashiqui. It was released a year or two ago. In the end, I end up getting shot. She didn’t leave my bedroom for 10 days. She has snuggled and slept with me. Till date, if she sees a film where I am getting beaten up, she doesn’t like it. She recently saw Tu Ne Jo Na Kaha. Although the song is good, I shed my tears. One night, she came crying. She said she doesn’t want me to cry.
Suniel Shetty on daughter Athiya and son Ahan’s upbringing
A lot of kids don’t want to go back (to their roots). I’m trying to do things that’ll keep her (grand daughter Evaarah) engaged there. I want to take her back to her roots. And I think that is the only connection. They’ll pick up everything else. When you have parents and grandparents who are conscious, half the job is done. Athiya and Ahan (Shetty) are conscious because they lived with their grandparents. That’s what upbringing is all about.
