Tere Ishk Mein box office Day 3: Dhanush, Kriti film hits Rs 50 crore on 1st weekend
Aanand L Rai’s romantic drama Tere Ishq Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office in its opening weekend. Released on Friday, the film quickly gained momentum and left other recent releases trailing behind.
According to Sacnilk, Tere Ishq Mein saw steady growth in ticket sales from Friday through Sunday, reflecting a strong response from audiences in both Hindi and Tamil markets. The film collected a total of Rs 51.75 crore over its first three days, with Sunday contributing Rs 18.75 crore alone.
Trade reports indicate the film experienced a notable increase in occupancy rates across the weekend. The Hindi version recorded an overall 32.82 per cent occupancy on Sunday, November 30, with the evening shows peaking at 45.63 per cent. In Tamil, the highest occupancy was observed during the afternoon at 24.09 per cent. This consistent interest from viewers helped the film outperform Gustaakh Ishq, which released on the same day, as well as earlier titles such as 120 Bahadur and Mastiii 4.

Tere Ishq Mein follows the story of Mukti and Shankar, portrayed by Kriti Sanon and Dhanush, respectively. The narrative revolves around Mukti falling in love with Shankar, a rebel, and the emotional upheaval that follows their separation. Industry reviews have highlighted the performances as a central strength of the film, with Dhanush and Sanon receiving particular praise.
IndiaToday.in’s review of the film reads, “Tere Ishk Mein is exactly the kind of film that Tier-2 and Tier-3 audiences will absolutely devour — high on drama, louder on emotions, and structured around the toxic love that Bollywood keeps romanticising post Kabir Singh and Animal, and more recently Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. But morally, thematically, and emotionally, it collapses. It leaves you triggered, unsettled, and slightly annoyed that in 2025, we are still watching stories that glorify dangerous men and equally dangerous relationships.”
Released in both Hindi and Tamil, the film managed to capture audience interest with its blend of drama and strong character portrayals. As box office numbers continue to be tracked, industry analysts acknowledge the film’s early success as notable in the current cinematic landscape.
