Jolly LLB 3 box office Day 3: Akshay’s film gets franchise’s biggest 1st weekend
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ wrapped up its opening weekend on a strong note. The legal comedy opened at Rs 12.5 crore, and saw significant growth on its first Sunday, taking the three-day business to Rs 53.5 crore nett -the biggest that a film in the franchise has collected in the first three days.

‘Jolly LLB 2’, which was released in 2019, earned around Rs 50.47 crore nett in its opening weekend, while ‘Jolly LLB’ – the first film starring Warsi – was a surprise hit in 2013 with Rs 12.35 crore in its opening weekend.

It’s important for the Subhash Kapoor-directorial to maintain its momentum during the weekdays. Monday remains crucial for the film as it will help determine the film’s performance in the longer run. And if all goes well, which it can, considering the good word-of-mouth, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ could easily become the highest-grossing film from the franchise, beating ‘Jolly LLB 3’, which garnered Rs 117 crore in its lifetime.
The film also stars Gajraj Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao in important roles.
