‘Shakti Shalini’ is one of the most highly anticipated films from Maddock Films’. After the film was announced, it was reported that Kiara would play the lead role. However, a while ago, it was being claimed that Aneet had been in discussions regarding ‘Shakti Shalini’ for the last two months, as reported by Pinkvilla. A source told the portal that Dinesh Vijan loved the actor’s performance in ‘Saiyaara’ and decided to mount the next horror-comedy movie on her.
The entertainment portal quoted the source saying, “‘Shakti Shalini’ is expected to begin towards the end of 2025. While the director’s name has been kept under wraps for now, Dinesh Vijan is keen to rope in Aditya Sarpotdar (Munjya fame) for the part. However, the final call for direction will be taken in a fortnight.”
Aneet, who shot to fame with director Mohit Suri’s ‘Saiyaara’, will next be seen in a courtroom-drama, titled ‘Nyaya’, directed by Nitya Mehra, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.
Maddock Films is currently set for its next horror-comedy ‘Thama’, featuring actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The Aditya Sarpotdar directorial introduces vampires from the medieval Vijaynagar Empire and their links in present times. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the antagonist in the film.
