Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan Unveil Preview of The Bads Of Bollywood, Deets Inside

Aryan Khan had already set the tone with the teaser of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, making it clear that the series will, in equal parts, love and roast the film industry. The preview of Shah Rukh Khan’s son’s debut directorial series stays true to that promise. It offers a sharp and unique insight into the inner workings of the Hindi film industry from someone who has grown up surrounded by Bollywood and shaped by it.

But it is not a documentary. Neither does it preach. It is a self-aware reflection of the quirks from the film industry that so many love and admire. The preview begins by introducing us to the Asmaan (played by Lakshya), who is the star of the story. He reminds us that some people are born to star families and some are born stars. His one liner reminds you of a young SRK’s interviews, where the King Khan claimed that he is not here to compete but to rule. We are then introduced to Raghav Juyal, the quintessential best friend. The show has all the ingredients for a Bollywood masala movie – a sensual heroine, flying cars, goons beating up people left right and centre, blood sucking villain in the name of a producer and our hero chasing big dreams. And there are cameos. Lots of them. From Salman Khan and Karan Johar to Ranveer Singh and more.

The show gives a glimpse of everything that the industry does right and everything that it doesn’t. The hero also ends up going to jail at one point and the jailer reminds him that some people become more famous after they get arrested. That feels like Aryan’s answer to the haters.
