Coolie Versus War 2: Rajinikanth’s Film Sprints Ahead on Day 6
Rajinikanth’s Coolie is still going strong at the box office, even though the weekday slowdown has started showing its effect. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 is not far behind. The big action entertainer collected Rs 8.25 crore on Tuesday, Day 6, taking its domestic total past Rs 190 crore. Both films hit theatres on the same day, sparking a high-voltage box office battle. So far, Coolie has kept a slight edge, but the competition between Rajinikanth’s mass action drama and the slick, stylish War 2 is keeping trade analysts and fans hooked.
On the global front, Coolie has turned into a massive success story. The film has already crossed Rs 400 crore worldwide within its first week, putting it among Rajinikanth’s biggest earners. With the film still performing well overseas and holding an upper hand over War 2 in India, Coolie looks set to continue its strong run and remain one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
