“Will Miss Salman, Fardeen and Anil in No Entry 2” – Boney Kapoor

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor has spoken openly about his regret of not being able to bring back Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan for the much-awaited sequel to No Entry. The original 2005 film, directed by Anees Bazmee, became one of the biggest comedy hits of its time.

The sequel, No Entry 2, will instead feature a younger cast led by Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Boney Kapoor admitted the cast change was not easy. “Poori star cast hi humne change ki. Toh ye humara loss hai that we could not retain the same star cast. We waited for almost 8-10 years but somehow things didn’t happen. We will miss them… They were the original three boys in No Entry. And they were most loved,” he said.

Explaining further, Kapoor reflected on how time passed while the project remained stuck. “Waqt beet gaya wait karte karte… maine mauka kho diya. Gaadi aage nikal gayi. Ab ye pachhtaawa hoga ki same setup nahi hai,” he added. The producer also called Salman Khan “a fantastic guy,” praised Anil Kapoor as both “a brother and an actor,” and remembered Fardeen Khan as “one of the best guys I have known in the film industry.”

Despite his feelings, Kapoor hopes the new cast brings fresh energy. “Somehow, we have moved on, and let’s hope the decision is right,” he remarked. Reports also suggest that Tamannaah Bhatia has officially joined the sequel. According to the report, she is excited to try her hand at broad comedy, with a role somewhat reminiscent of Bipasha Basu’s from the first film.

With Bazmee once again directing, expectations are high, though fans of the original remain nostalgic about the trio’s absence. Kapoor himself admits the void is hard to fill but insists the new lineup can offer audiences something different.

For now, No Entry 2 is set to reimagine one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises with both memories of the past and hopes for the future riding on it.
