Priyanka Chopra Shares Glimpses From Globetrotter Shoot in Nairobi
Priyanka Chopra has landed in Nairobi, Kenya, to join the shoot of SS Rajamouli’s highly awaited film, tentatively titled Globetrotter. The actress shared glimpses from her time in the city, offering fans a peek at the charm of East Africa. Interestingly, the film’s first poster was revealed on Mahesh Babu’s birthday, setting the excitement in motion.

Reports earlier suggested that Rajamouli and his team would shift their base to East Africa for the next phase of filming. While the Kenya schedule was initially planned for July, it had to be pushed due to political unrest in the region. Producer KL Narayana has now confirmed that filming will kick off in mid-September, with locations spanning Nairobi and Tanzania. With an estimated budget of Rs 1,000 crore, this is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects ever attempted in Indian cinema.
On Mahesh Babu’s birthday, Rajamouli teased fans with the big news that the film’s first look will drop in November 2025. In his first official statement about the project, the filmmaker hinted at the scale and grandeur of the story, saying that simple updates wouldn’t do justice to the immersive world they are creating. He also promised a unique reveal that fans have “never seen before.”
Adding to the buzz, a report from Tanzania’s The Citizen has shed light on what the film might be about. The story is said to revolve around a rugged explorer who sets off on a daring quest to save the world from a dangerous enemy. Inspired by classic African adventure tales and the Indiana Jones franchise, the film reportedly takes viewers through wild terrains, mysteries, and a hidden ancient secret that could change humanity’s future. With music by MM Keeravani, the global release is planned for 2027.
