Jerry Rojas Launches Awards and Events Agency JRo Collective (Exclusive)

Jerry Rojas, a veteran Hollywood awards and events strategist, has launched his own agency, JRo Collective, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The new company will specialize in multi-faceted global awards campaigns for film and TV, focusing on big-picture strategy, crafts campaigns, special event production, curated tastemakers, experiential activations and event sponsorships at film festivals around the world.

“With over two decades immersed in the ever-evolving world of film and television — from narrative features and series to documentaries and international cinema to craft campaigns — I remain deeply inspired by the opportunity to collaborate directly with visionary talent, showrunners, filmmakers, and partners,” Rojas tells THR. “The mission at JRo Collective is to deliver highly personalized, strategic campaigns across the awards and events landscape, offering insightful, culturally nuanced and tailored guidance. It’s not just about running campaigns — it’s about fostering connection, championing authenticity and ensuring that remarkable stories are celebrated and recognized.”

Rojas comes to this endeavor after spending the past seven years at Shelter PR, where he oversaw that company’s film and TV awards and events division. In recent years, he worked on campaigns for Focus Features (Conclave), Amazon/MGM Studios and Orion Pictures (American Fiction, Challengers and Nickel Boys), Searchlight (A Complete Unknown and Poor Things), Roadside Attractions (Lee), WellGo USA (How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies) and FX (Shōgun), as well as independent distributors (To Kill a Tiger).

He also represented notable department heads including costume designer Arianne Phillips (A Complete Unknown), Carlos Rosario (Shōgun) and Ann Foley (The Last of Us), and lent his support to the MusiCares Persons of the Year gala for the past three years.

Prior to Shelter, Rojas was senior director of awards and events at Focus, where his work included campaigns for Nocturnal Animals, The Theory of Everything, Kubo and the Two Strings, Moonrise Kingdom and Milk, among others. Before that, he launched his career at Film Independent as part of the sponsorship team for the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
