Mandy Moore Reunites With ‘This Is Us’ Creator Dan Fogelman on Hulu NFL Drama
Hulu’s drama set in the world of the National Football League will also be the site of a This Is Us reunion.
Mandy Moore has joined the series, starring opposite Christopher Meloni and William H. Macy. Her casting brings her back together with This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, who is writing and executive producing the show. (The other Hulu series Fogelman created, Paradise, also features a This Is Us alum in Sterling K. Brown.)
Plot details about the NFL drama, from 20th Television and Skydance Sports, are being kept quiet. Moore will play Lauren, the daughter of Macy’s character, Hank, and heir apparent to the NFL team he owns. Meloni is set to play the team’s head coach.
Hulu ordered the series in October 2024. Skydance Sports is a joint venture between Paramount Skydance and the NFL, and Disney, which owns 20th TV, is also a league partner: In exchange for the NFL Network and some other additional broadcast rights, the league now has a 10 percent stake in ESPN. The NFL has also shown interest in developing more scripted content through Skydance Sports.
