Andy Cohen Confirms “Extended Version” of ‘Love Island USA’s Season 7 Heart Rate Challenge Will Air During Reunion

Andy Cohen is revealing some of the moments Love Island USA fans can look forward to with the upcoming season seven reunion.

During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, which featured Islanders Olandria and Nic and Amaya and Bryan as guests, the host confirmed that the “extended version” of the controversial Heart Rate Challenge will be shown at the reunion on Aug. 25.

“I thought it was interesting that you [Olandria] and Chelley saw Huda for the first time since you left the villa,” Cohen said. “I think that was pretty dramatic, and also we showed the extended version of the Heart Rate Challenge, which was revelatory, I think, to the group. So you can look forward to that on the Love Island reunion, which is Aug. 25 on Peacock.”

Earlier this summer, during the hit reality show’s seventh season, Huda and Chelley had a falling out after the raunchy challenge, as Chelley felt Huda disregarded their friendship and crossed a line with Ace (who was coupled up with Chelley). While all the Islanders were pushing the boundaries during the challenge — which sees the contestants compete to see whose sexy dance routines can raise the heart rates of their fellow Islanders the most — Chelley expressed that she thought Huda went too far.

Some fans shared on social media that they felt Chelley’s anger towards Huda was unjustified, as all the Islanders were going all out during the challenge. However, viewers pointed out that not all of Huda’s performance was aired during the episode, leading some to speculate that the part that made Chelley mad wasn’t shown.

While the pair worked out their issues in the villa, deciding to remain friends, it seems Huda and Chelley haven’t kept in touch post-villa, according to Cohen.

On Tuesday, when the reunion was being filmed, Cohen also took to his Instagram Story to tease fans, saying, “Guys, Love Island reunions are no joke. We are on dinner break. We’re going back in there soon. This reunion — it’s good and everybody’s here. And I’m having so much fun with Ariana. She’s amazing, and you know what I like doing, I like hosting a reunion with her. It’s really fun!”

Cohen hosted the reunion alongside Love Island USA host and Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix.
