Janhvi Kapoor’s Monologue on South Indian Stars in The Param Sundari Trailer Wins Hearts
The trailer for Param Sundari, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, was released on Tuesday. The audience appreciated the actors’ new pairing, the cross-cultural elements, and the romantic aspects. However, a significant point of interest for many viewers was the trailer’s closing moments, where Janhvi’s character delivers a frustrated monologue about South Indian stars and their differences. Many fans expressed that this monologue was the most memorable part of the trailer.
In the scene, Janhvi Kapoor’s character becomes quite animated and gives some knowledge in a hilarious way to the North Indian individuals on South Indian superstars. She says, “Kerala- Malayalam, Mohanlal; Tamil Nadu-Tamil, Rajinikanth; Andhra-Telugu, Allu Arjun; Karnataka- Kannada, Yash! Tumhare liye har South Indian Madras? Bloody North Indians! Illiterate, arrogant, ignorant, entitled! Traitors!”

A fan commented, reacting to the scene, “My fav scene from the trailer. The way Janhvi introduced South Superstars with her attitude & expressions!” Another wrote, “The end dialogue was just what we south Indians wanted.” Another comment read, “The end dialogue was satisfying.” A fan said, “The last dialogue was so satisfying for real….wanna say that to all my North Indian friends!” Another user commented, “Love the dialogues! Please let this romcom be good!” Another user praised the trailer saying, “Bollywood romcom is back! The trailer looks good.”
Last year, Janhvi Kapoor made her debut in South Indian cinema with Devara, where she shared the screen with Jr NTR. She is also set to appear in Peddi, which will feature Ram Charan.

On the other hand, the songs Pardesiya and Bheegi Saree from Param Sundari have captured the attention of fans. The film explores the cross-cultural romance between the two main characters, one from Delhi and the other from Kerala. Besides Sidharth and Janhvi, the movie also includes Rajeev Khandelwal and Aakash Dahiya in key roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, it is slated to be released on August 29.
