Manoj Bajpayee Versus Jim Sarbh: Thriller Inspector Zende Pits The Two Actors Against Each Other
Manoj Bajpayee and Jim Sarbh have joined hands for a thrilling new film, Inspector Zende, set in Mumbai of the ’70s and ’80s. The film focuses on the infamous Swimsuit Killer, who breaks out of Tihar Jail, and a determined police officer must track him down at all costs. Loosely inspired by a true story, this tale of determination and sheer grit unfolds into an epic cat-and-mouse chase.
Starring Bajpayee as Inspector Madhukar Zende, and Jim Sarbh as the charming trickster and notorious ‘swimsuit killer’ Carl Bhojraj, the film is directed and written by Chinmay D. Mandlekar. It also features Bhalchandra Kadam, Sachin Khedekar, Girija Oak and Harish Dudhade in pivotal roles. The makers released a poster of the film today that showed a newspaper page with Bajpayee and Sarbh’s faces on it. The headline on the paper reads, “Zendebad! Will the inspector be able to catch the swimsuit killer?”

Inspector Zende is a salute to old-school sleuthing and resourceful justice. It’s the tale of an ordinary man who cracked an extraordinary case. The film will be released on Netflix on September 5.
