G2 First Look : Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi Gear Up for an Edgy Spy Thriller

To mark seven years since the release of Goodachari, the team behind its sequel G2 gave fans a big update. They dropped powerful new character posters featuring Adivi Sesh, Emraan Hashmi and Wamiqa Gabbi and also announced the film’s release date as May 1, 2026. Adivi returns as Agent Gopi, but this time the world is bigger, the danger is greater and the action looks sleeker than ever. The posters are filled with tension and style, setting the mood for what’s shaping up to be a gripping global spy thriller.

Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, G2 was shot over 150 days across six countries using 23 specially constructed sets. It is produced by People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts and AK Entertainments and will release in five Indian languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. With a production budget of over 100 crore rupees, the film is clearly going big on scale. From fast paced action to strong emotional beats, G2 looks ready to push the genre forward.

Talking about the film, Adivi Sesh said, “G2 has been a journey we’ve lived and breathed for years. With director Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, we’ve dared to dream bigger, taking this story to a global scale while keeping its soul deeply personal. Emraan and Wamiqa will be seen in truly power packed avatars and their performances have taken the scale and intensity of this film a notch higher, making this more than just a film for us.” Sesh has also co-written the script, keeping the tone and spirit of Goodachari intact.

The story continues from where Goodachari left off, following Agent Gopi on a high stakes mission outside the country to track down a dangerous underground network. Emraan Hashmi plays a villain with a double identity as Michael and Prince Vithal, adding layers of mystery and threat. Wamiqa Gabbi plays Mahalakshmi Naagin, a character full of secrets and intrigue. At the same time, Sesh is also working on another action drama titled Dacoit where he stars opposite Mrunal Thakur.
