Dhadak 2 Public Review: Netizens Applaud Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri’s Performance

Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Dhadak 2 has hit the big screen, and early reactions are already coming in. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film is described as a spiritual sequel to Dhadak (2018) and officially adapts the critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. At its heart, it’s a love story between two college students from different caste backgrounds, diving into the realities of caste-based discrimination. While many viewers have praised the emotional second half and the lead performances, others felt the story didn’t offer anything new, calling the writing predictable and too familiar.

Filmfare’s review called Dhadak 2 a bold and politically charged film that stays true to the spirit of the original. Shazia Iqbal’s direction stands out as she raises the right questions and brings out powerful performances from the cast. Filmfare gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
