Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt Starrer Housefull 5 Releases on OTT

It is available on Prime Video and is streaming in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. The movie theatrically released on June 6, 2025 in two versions. They were titled Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. In total, the two versions have collected Rs 288.58 crores worldwide at present, as per Sacnilk’s data.

The movie blends the franchise’s trademark slapstick comedy with an unexpected murder mystery. The story unfolds aboard a luxurious cruise ship during the 100th birthday bash of billionaire Mr. Dobriyal (Ranjeet). But the festivities come to a halt with his sudden and mysterious demise. What ensues is a hilarious game of chaos as three men, each claiming to be his long-lost son Jolly (played by Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh) begin a wild race to claim the billionaire’s vast fortune. But just when things couldn’t get messier, a murder throws the cruise into deeper confusion.

Filmfare’s Review

Calling the movie “occasionally hilarious,” our review wrote, “Housefull 5 is a complete brainrot. So kindly leave them behind and enter at your own risk. Tarun Mansukhani, bless him, is actually a better director than the merry band of chaos-makers who helmed the earlier films. He even attempts a thing called “plot,” which in Housefull terms is practically Shakespearean. The film kicks off with some good old memory-loss comedy a la The Hangover, and while it stays in that lane, the laughs flow freely.”
