In her caption, Priyanka revealed how it wasn’t an easy yes at first. “When Sanjay Sir came to me with this song, it was a complicated decision,” she wrote. “But him as a filmmaker has always inspired me. His creative mind, his nostalgic stories usually over incredible food, the conversations of art and music to dance… the beauty of the yesteryears but also what the future holds. And then he played the song… and I knew I was her.”
Priyanka also praised the dream team that brought the song to life. She recalled how under Bhansali’s direction, Ravi Varman’s cinematography elevated the visual appeal of the piece, while choreographer Vishnu Deva worked closely with her to perfect every move. “Vishnu and I would rehearse during lunch breaks every day to get the dance right,” she added. “This brings back such great memories.”
