The initial report states that negotiations with the duo were on but the same fell through. This prompted casting change, and the makers later fixated on newcomers. Mohit Suri also opened up about his casting decision and making the movie with two newcomers. He noted that he had considered established actors, but Aditya Chopra wanted to go with debutants or young actors. According to Aditya, the movie wouldn’t work until the casting felt fresh and new. Aditya fixated on choosing young actors, as it is a young love story. When Mohit asked Aditya about backing a project with young actors, Aditya assured that he would help him.
Interestingly, Ahaan and Aneet’s chemistry has been well-appreciated by fans. The two are being talked about for their performances, which many think have elevated the movie.
Despite being led by young newcomers, Saiyaara managed to pull a massive crowd to the theatres. Meanwhile, the title track of Saiyaara created history by becoming the first ever Indian song to top the Global Viral 50 chart. Sung by Faheem Abdullah and composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the track surpassed artists such as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Sabrina Carpenter.
On the professional front, neither Aneet nor Ahaan have shared about their upcoming projects yet.
