“Discussed Way Too Much” – Bhumi Pednekar Opens Up About Botox and Fillers

Bhumi Pednekar is known to be a versatile actor as she has portrayed different kinds of characters throughout her career. However, recently she received a lot of criticism for her series The Royals, and it created chatter on cosmetic procedures and fillers. The actress was also trolled for allegedly getting lip fillers. Now, she has opened up about the scrutiny.
Speaking to News18 Showsha, she responded to the criticism and said, “We live in a time where people should make their own choices. I am nobody to have any kind of judgment on what people want to do. I also feel that this is being discussed way too much. It is my way of being.”

Bhumi then spoke about her diet and continued, “People get very scared of it, but I have it in my diet – fat. I have a lot of ghee in my diet. The only difference is, I do not cook in ghee; I consume it raw. Put it on your rotis or idlis, it is very beneficial for your health.”
In The Royals, starring Ishaan Khatter, Zeenat Aman, and Bhumi Pednekar, follows a financially troubled royal household juggling politics, power, and personal drama. Bhumi played an entrepreneur running a homestay under a hospitality venture named Royal B&B, whereas Ishaan played the King of the palace, whose restoration work she took up. The show got renewed for a second season.

Filmfare reviewed the series and said, “Pednekar’s portrayal of a driven entrepreneur lacks the nuance required to make her character relatable and compelling. She looks and dresses like a million bucks, but her character never quite displays the gravitas to anchor the viewers’ feelings. It doesn’t help that her character’s company is called WorkPotato. Witticisms be damned. Also, we get that the lead pair is supposed to have an ‘iffy’ chemistry, with their chalk and cheese personalities, but Khatter and Pednekar never quite convince you that their characters are made for each other.”

Bhumi Pednekar is now working on her next series, Daldal.
