Box Office Report: Saiyaara Rakes in Big Numbers on Day 7

Saiyaara continues its impressive run at the domestic box office, showing no signs of slowing down even after a week of release. Starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the romantic drama has managed to strike a chord with the audience thanks to its emotional storytelling and gripping performances. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the Mohit Suri directorial has collected over Rs 170 crore so far, wrapping up day 7 with a total of approximately Rs 172.50 crore.

The day-wise numbers speak volumes about the film’s momentum. Saiyaara opened to a strong Rs 21.5 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 26 crore on Saturday and a massive Rs 35.75 crore on Sunday. It maintained steady collections through the weekdays with Rs 24 crore on Monday, Rs 25 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 21.5 crore on Wednesday. On day 7, the film earned Rs 18.75 crore. While there’s a slight dip compared to the previous day, the collections have impressively remained in double digits throughout the week.

With no big releases lined up for this Friday, Saiyaara is expected to continue its strong performance in its second weekend as well. The film has now surpassed the lifetime collection of Karan Johar’s 2023 romantic drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which starred Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and had finished its run at Rs 153.55 crore. Saiyaara’s growing numbers have placed it among the most successful love stories in recent times.

The film tells the story of Krish Kapoor, an aspiring musician, and Vaani Batra, a reserved writer, whose romance faces a life-changing twist. Directed by Mohit Suri and backed by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara has received both critical and audience acclaim.

On Thursday, Suri took to X to thank filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his early support. He wrote, “Sandeep @imvangasandeep thank you for being the first one to openly support and express your generous belief in Saiyaara. It meant the world coming from a filmmaker whose craft I deeply admire. I’ve always respected the raw emotion fearlessness and intensity you bring to your stories. It reminds me why we do what we do to move people to connect. Grateful to walk this path alongside storytellers like you. Here’s to more powerful cinema and always a fan!”
