Anupam Kher Applauds Saiyaara Even Though It Released Alongside Tanvi The Great

Saiyaara has been having a great run of late with praise from critics and audience alike and achieving great success at the box office. The film was released alongside Anupam Kher’s Tanvi The Great.

Despite this simultaneous release and Saiyaara’s dominance, Anupam Kher expressed his admiration for the film. He also acknowledged the positive reception of his own film and extended his gratitude to the audience.

 He shared a video with the following caption, “A big congratulations to Saiyaara and to Tanvi The Great. My relationship with Yash Raj Films is very old, deep and family-like! So I congratulate Aditya Chopra, Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda and send my love and congratulations to Tanvi The Great team and especially Shubhangi Dutt for winning the hearts of the people. Shubhangi has proved that she is in this industry for the long haul by playing Tanvi’s role so brilliantly in her very first film. A good film always finds its place! Some with both love and money. And some with a lot of love. Once again, my love and blessings to everyone! Jai Ho! (Translated from Hindi)”

In the video, he said, “Mohit and I are both protégés of Mahesh Bhatt sahab and we both did important films. The love you have given to my film Tanvi The Great, I cannot measure it with money. Of course, when a film does a business like Saiyaara, it helps the industry. It gives people courage to make these films. But courage is also to make Tanvi The Great. We are receiving so much love from the audience.”

He also said, “I would like to congratulate Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda but I would also like to congratulate Shubhangi for reaching out to so many people through her work. So, I want to thank you all, for giving so much love to both the films. When Saaransh released, Mumbai had riots, and nobody watched the film in theatres. But for 40 years, I am known for Saaransh. In the same way, both these films would be known for their respective successes. So, well done Mohit, well done Aditya, but also well-done Anupam.”
