Adivi Sesh & Mrunal Thakur Injured on Dacoit Set, but Resume Shoot in Hyderabad

According to reports, Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur experienced minor injuries while filming intense scenes for their upcoming film, Dacoit. While no official statement has been released by either the actors or the production team, it is being said that the incident occurred during a filming session in Hyderabad earlier this week. The actors were reportedly performing their own stunts for a high-energy sequence when the accident happened. Medical assistance was provided on the scene, and filming resumed shortly after. Despite their injuries, both actors chose to continue filming to avoid any production delays.

After the incident where Adivi and Mrunal sustained injuries during an intense scene, Adivi took additional medical assistance. On the other hand, Mrunal chose to complete her scheduled scenes before concluding the day’s work.

This event happened shortly after a tragic incident on the set of another film, where the experienced stuntman SM Raju unfortunately passed away during a stunt that went wrong on director Pa Ranjith’s film. SM Raju’s vehicle experienced a miscalculated landing during a stunt, leading to multiple rollovers, which was followed by his unfortunate demise.

Back to Dacoit and those in the know had revealed that the initial plan was for Shruti Haasan to star as the female lead, alongside Adivi Sesh. However, she ultimately withdrew from the project, with the reasons for her exit remaining private. Mrunal Thakur later took on the role.

This action thriller will be the directorial debut of cinematographer Shaneil Deo, who has previously worked with Adivi Sesh. The film is being produced in both Telugu and Hindi to broaden its reach and is expected to be released in theatres during Christmas of 2025.

Mrunal Thakur will be next seen in the upcoming comedy, Son Of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn while Adivi Sesh was last seen in Hit: The Third Case earlier this year.
