“The Character Was Sculpted for Him” – Sarzameen Director Kayoze Irani on Ibrahim Ali Khan
Ibrahim Ali Khan, having appeared in a single film and maintaining an active presence on social media, has successfully built a dedicated fan following. He is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Sarzameen, directed by Kayoze Irani, which is set to release on JioHotstar.
The recently released trailer for the film showed Ibrahim in an intense new role, playing a fierce and intense character, which differs from his previous performances. This transformation has grabbed interest, and fans are eager to witness this new range of Ibrahim’s talent.

In a recent interview, director Kayoze Irani, who has worked with Ibrahim on Sarzameen, shared, “I believe Ibrahim has done an exceptional job in this film. This genre suits him so well. The character was sculpted for him, and he fits beautifully.”
In another interview, Kayoze Irani was asked about the release strategy for Sarzameen, specifically whether it was always intended for an OTT release or a theatrical release. He said, “Honestly, Sarzameen was always an OTT film. That was our plan and our collaboration with JioHotstar. What surprised me in the last week is the YouTube reactions that we are getting, that why not theatre. Only now, we are thinking, oh, we got this little feeling (about the theatre release). But this has always been an OTT film. People might be looking at the scale and seeing the vibe of it. I would like to just make the film I want to make. So, this has always been a plan for an OTT release when we discussed the narration. But it’s a compliment, I will happily take it.”

The trailer for Sarzameen introduces Ibrahim Ali Khan as Harman, showing a villainous persona with a heavily-bearded, intense, and shirtless appearance. The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol in key roles. Directed by Kayoze Irani and produced by Karan Johar, Sarzameen is set to release on JioHotstar on July 25.
