Saiyaara worldwide box office Day 3: Rs 100 crore done, biggest ever for debutants
YRF’s ‘Saiyaara’ recorded the biggest opening weekend for a Hindi film starring debutants at the global box office. The Mohit Suri-directorial crossed the benchmark of Rs 100 crore gross in its first weekend, adding more feathers to its success cap.
It collected a whopping Rs 84 crore nett in India, but the worldwide collection seemed even more promising. The film earned the all-time biggest opening weekend ever for a romantic film globally, making the run more historic than it looks.
Starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, who have now become legit overnight stars in Bollywood, ‘Saiyaara’ grossed around Rs 101.75 crore from India, and Rs 17.25 crore from the international market. The film stands at Rs 119.00 crore gross after its opening weekend run worldwide-both fantastic and unprecedented.

‘Saiyaara’ opened to glorious reviews which instantly converted to good word-of-mouth. The film seems to be working organically, without any promotional campaign. None of the film’s stars go to any shows or podcast platforms to talk about the content, and yet managed to attract the audience’s attention. However, the music worked wonderfully to bring the audiences to theatres.
The film is on its way to being a clear blockbuster at the box office. It will be interesting to see how ‘Saiyaara’ performs on its first Monday, which will further determine its longer run at the ticket window.
