Contrary to recent rumours, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has not been injured on the sets of his upcoming film King. Several media reports on Sunday evening claimed that the actor had suffered a minor injury during an action sequence for the film directed by Siddharth Anand. These rumours suggested that the injury had delayed the shoot and that Shah Rukh had flown to the US and later to the UK for treatment.
However, a
trusted source close to the actor has cleared the air in a statement to NDTV, calling the injury claims untrue. The source confirmed that Shah Rukh is currently in the US, but it is for
his routine health care, something the actor regularly does.
“He has been in the US since the second week of July,” the source revealed. “There is no injury. He goes there often for general care. He is expected to return by the end of this month.” With this confirmation, the team behind King can breathe easy. The shoot, which had reportedly paused, is now expected to resume in September as originally planned. The film is one of Shah Rukh Khan’s most ambitious projects in recent years and has already generated huge buzz among fans.
Adding more excitement, reports suggest that
international music sensationEd Sheeran might collaborate on the film’s soundtrack. This wouldn’t be the first time Shah Rukh brings a global artist on board, he famously teamed up with singer Akon for the 2011 sci-fi film Ra.One.
The star-studded cast of King is another highlight. The action-packed thriller features a powerful ensemble including Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Suhana Khan, who is also Shah Rukh’s daughter. The latest addition to the cast is none other than the versatile Rani Mukerji, making the film even more grand and exciting.
Fans can rest easy knowing their beloved King Khan is doing well and will be back on screen soon. With such a massive cast and exciting global collaborations, King is shaping up to be one of the
most anticipated films in Bollywood.
