Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri bring passion and power to Dhadak 2 trailer

The trailer for Dhadak 2 has been released, offering audiences a glimpse into a passionate and emotional love story featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. Directed by the debutant Shazia Iqbal, the film appears to be an exploration of love that fights in the face of identity and societal issues.

Siddhant Chaturvedi portrays Neelesh, and Triptii Dimri plays Vidhi, two individuals from contrasting backgrounds whose connection happens organically. The trailer presents a depiction of their dangerous journey, filled with emotional intensity and resilience. Their on-screen chemistry is raw and captivating, supported by moments of bravery and vulnerability rather than grand gestures of affection.

The music is beautifully in sync with the film’s powerful and emotional plot, setting the mood without over-doing it. Like its original version, Dhadak 2 continues the tradition of wholesome music, building upon the vibe of Dhadak (2018).

Director Shazia Iqbal mentioned that “Dhadak 2 is an emotional reckoning for today’s youth. It’s rooted in reality and asks questions that we often shy away from in cinema. Neelesh and Vidhi’s story is about love, but it’s also about survival, identity, and what it costs to be true to yourself in a world designed to silence you. Working on this film was an incredible experience, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it.”

At its core, Dhadak 2 is a love story that aims to redefine the genre, speaking to a generation that seeks truth, authenticity, and depth rather than traditional fairy tales. With its poetic storytelling, strong performances, and a musical score that connects with the audience, the trailer already looks to have made a positive impact.

Dhadak 2, directed by Shazia Iqbal, is produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra & Pragati Deshmukh, under the banners of Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 1, 2025.
