Ranbir Kapoor to Get Rs 75 Crore for Each Part of Ramayana

It is being reported that Ranbir Kapoor is receiving a big pay cheque for his role in the two-part mythological epic, Ramayana. The first look of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, was released on July 3. The film also includes Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

 

Reports say that Ranbir is expected to earn around Rs 150 crore for his involvement in the upcoming two-part film series. According to trade sources, Kapoor’s earning is estimated to be approximately Rs 70-75 crore per film, which is a total of nearly Rs 150 crore for both parts. This kind of payment showcases his central role in the project, reflecting the high buzz surrounding the films.

To celebrate the release of the teaser, screenings were organized across nine Indian cities and at New York’s Times Square, showcasing the project’s international ambitions. The narrative is about the conflict between Lord Rama and Ravana, with the intention of engaging audiences worldwide through its storytelling and impressive effects.

 

The ensemble cast also features Sunny Deol portraying Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, suggesting a mix of exceptional talent from the Indian film industry.

The film’s musical score will be a collaboration between the composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. Also, the action sequences will be under the supervision of the stunt coordinators Terry Notary and Guy Norris. These collaborations are intended to elevate the film’s epic quality, thus ensuring both visual and sound quality.

 

Produced by Namit Malhotra and co-produced by Yash, Ramayana is supported by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations. The visual effects are being handled by DNEG, a VFX company with eight Academy Awards to its name. This exceptional team is bound to produce high quality visuals that complement the narrative.

 

Part 1 of Ramayana is planned for a global release during Diwali in 2026, with the second part scheduled to follow in Diwali 2027. The film aspires to highlight the essence of the narrative with a modern cinematic style, with the intention of reaching a wide audience.
