Exclusive: “Shah Rukh Khan Has Helped Me Deal With a Lot of Heartbreaks” – Shanaya Kapoor

Shanaya Kapoor is making her much-awaited comeback with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring Vikrant Massey. The duo recently sat with Filmfare for a heartfelt tête-à-tête, where they spilled the beans about the movie and Shah Rukh Khan. When we asked Shanaya about her bond with the Khan family, the actress was sure to tell us that Shah Rukh Khan’s opinion matters to everyone, be it Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday, Navya Nanda or herself. She said, “His opinion matters for everyone. I think more than that, I really look up to him as a person. I mean, he’s taught me so much. I’ve grown up with Suhana and Ananya. And he’s had a big, big hand when I was growing up as a child. When I was growing up, we played sports, be it football or something like hide-and-seek. I remember going to Hamleys with Shah Rukh sir. So, he’s just taught me a lot.”

Speaking further, Shanaya revealed an interesting fact about the bond that she shares with the superstar. She ecstatically noted that King Khan has also helped her deal with heartbreaks. She revealed, “He’s helped me deal with a lot of heartbreaks also. He has been there through it all. And I’m just looking forward for him to see the film. And that’s when I’m going to get that opinion. I’m very, very excited for him to see Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Hopefully, I can show it to him before or whenever he can.”

For those unaware, Shanaya Kapoor’s debut movie, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is releasing in the theatres on July 11, 2025. It has been directed by debutant Santosh Singh. It is an adaptation of Ruskin Bond’s famous Eyes Have It.
