Kareena Kapoor Khan Opens Up About Saif Ali Khan’s Stabbing, Reveals Jeh’s Innocent Reaction
January was a rough month for the Pataudi family as Saif Ali Khan got stabbed by an intruder at their Bandra residence. The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. While he is in good health now, his actress-wife Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the knife attack and how their kids reacted to it. During her session at We The Women, Kareena said, “I am still kind of struggling with what it does to see someone there in your child’s room. In Mumbai, you never really hear about such incidents. It is very common in the US. In Mumbai, we have never really heard about such incidents. We have still not come to terms 100 per cent. At least I haven’t. I was very anxious for the first couple of months. It was very difficult to sleep and get back to the person with that kind of normalcy.”
She said that she doesn’t want to live in fear for her children, Taimur and Jehangir, because it would be wrong to put that stress on them. “So, it’s been a tough journey to manoeuvre from fear and anxiety to balancing the fact that I am a mother and I am also a wife,” the actress continued and shared that she is grateful that everyone is safe.
Kareena further revealed that Saif and her youngest son Jeh had an innocent reaction to the entire incident. “My little one still says, ‘My father is Batman and Iron Man. He can take on anyone’. We are definitely stronger as a unit. They have seen blood and everything, but that trauma I somehow feel, will make Taimur and Jeh a lot more of a different kind of man.”
Saif Ali Khan was stabbed on January 16 this year. As per the police statement, he was severely wounded and was bleeding heavily when a house help flagged down an auto-rickshaw. Taimur insisted on accompanying his father.
