Salman Khan Reveals His Diet Plan and Salutes His Father Salim Khan’s Metabolism

Salman Khan has once again offered fans a glimpse into the discipline behind his legendary physique, revealing details of his minimalist diet and paying tribute to his father Salim Khan’s boundless energy. The superstar candidly shared insights into his daily eating habits and fitness philosophy, as well as some touching words about his 89-year-old father.

Salman broke down his approach to food with refreshing honesty: “I’ll eat anything but won’t overeat. Like say, one spoon rice or at max one and a half, whatever vegetables, then chicken or mutton or fish.”

But where Salman keeps it moderate, his father takes it to another level. Speaking fondly of Salim Khan’s routine, Salman said, “My dad, touchwood, Mashallah, he tells me that ‘meri khuraq khatam ho gayi hai’ (my appetite has gone down) but touchwood, he is like, 2-3 paranthe, then rice, the gosht, then dessert, twice a day. Unka ek metabolism alag hai. Unka discipline alag hai.” The phrase “metabolism alag hai” summed up the resilience Salim has shown, even as he nears ninety.

In addition, his trainer Rakkesh R. Uddiyar recently revealed that Salman follows an “old‑school, typical bodybuilding” routine involving “giant set” workouts- around 10 chest variations done back-to-back in a HIIT‑style format, all within a disciplined 45-to-60-minute session.

Beyond diet and exercise, Salman reassures fans he still enjoys hearty home‑cooked meals prepared by his mother Salma Khan, calling it “ghar ka khana.” He supplements that with occasional Italian fare, lean proteins, and complex carbs, while cutting processed sugars and late‑night indulgences.

With Sikander behind him and more projects in the pipeline, Salman’s approach reflects a refined balance, trusting age-old discipline, moderation, and a healthy mind-body connection. After all, as he jokes with Kapil Sharma, it’s not about giving up everything- it’s about knowing exactly when “it’s done.”
