‘The Pitt’ Adds Sepideh Moafi to Season 2 Cast
The Pitt is putting another doctor on shift for its second season.
Max’s critically acclaimed medical drama has added Sepideh Moafi to its cast for season two, which is in production for an early 2026 premiere. Moafi (The L Word: Generation Q) will be a series regular, playing an attending physician in emergency medicine.
She is the latest addition to the show’s cast; Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laetitia Holland and Lucas Iverson will also appear in the coming season in recurring roles.
The Pitt, which stars ER alum Noah Wyle and follows the staff of a Pittsburgh hospital’s emergency department in real time, became a word-of-mouth hit for Max. The series averaged 6.18 million viewers per episode, based on Nielsen’s 35-day, cross-platform ratings, making it Max’s top original series of the 2024-25 season. The streamer ordered a second season a month after its premiere.
John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. TV produce The Pitt. R. Scott Gemmill created the series and executive produces with Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontow of John Wells Productions and Simran Baidwan.
Moafi played fan favorite Gigi Ghorbani on Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q. Her credits also include Apple TV’s Black Bird, HBO’s The Deuce and Hulu’s limited series Class of ‘09. She is repped by Principal Entertainment LA, Gersh, ID, and Schreck Rose.
