Kajol on Being Compared With Jaya Bachchan
Kajol is awaiting the release of her film Maa and is busy with promotional activities. During one of her interviews for the film, the actress was asked about netizens comparing her with Jaya Bachchan. Some of her recent paparazzi videos show her being rude and scary to the paparazzi, which made netizens compare her to the veteran actress, as she also appears to be strict with the shutterbugs. Jaya Bachchan has often reprimanded the cameramen for shooting her or asking her unnecessary questions.
Reacting to these comparisons, Kajol said, “It’s okay if you believe that I’m scary, please go watch Maa. I think right now it’s all really about the videos; even the paparazzi, for that matter. They’re waiting for you to say something. They coax you, they push you, till you have to! Not scream back at them, but at least say, ‘Listen, guys, calm down.’ You know, you don’t need to yell and scream to get a good picture.”

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress added, “It’s not about just clicking a picture or just clicking a video any more. It’s about a reaction that they want because it has a tagline attached to it, or they can attach some sort of a negative tagline.”
In an earlier interview, Kajol also shared that she is a little conscious of the paps as she thinks there are certain places that they shouldn’t be at. “Like I find it very strange when they run after actors at someone’s funeral and ask for photos. I find that odd and a little disrespectful. I find it strange that you cannot even go for lunch,” said Kajol.
